Michael F. Hannley
President
Mike Hannley launched Bank of Tucson in 1996 and served as President and Chief Executive Officer until the bank merged with Grandpoint in June 2013. Bank of Tucson operates two offices in Tucson, Arizona.
Before leading Bank of Tucson, he served as Senior Vice President and Director of the Professional Division of National Bank of Arizona from 1986 until December 1995. He was previously Head of Retail Banking for Home Federal/Great American Savings, and Regional Vice President of Southern Arizona Bank/First Interstate Bank, where he started his banking career in 1972.
Mike is very active in the Tucson community where he is a life member of Tucson Conquistadores and St. Mary’s Hospital Centurions. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of Carondelet Neurological Institute; the Business Advisory Board of Angel Charity for Children; the Community Advisory Board of the Assistance League of Tucson, Inc. as well as several advisory boards at the University of Arizona.
Mike also serves as a director of the YMCA Youth Foundation and the Western Independent Bankers.
Mike attended Louisiana Tech University, Pima College, and the University of Virginia, Graduate School of Banking.

Jocelyn Pastore manages Grandpoint's banking operations on the Westside, in the San Fernando Valley, and in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles. Before joining Grandpoint, Jocelyn was Administrative Executive Vice President for branch operations, marketing and business development at First Commerce Bank. First Commerce merged with Grandpoint in December 2010.
Prior to joining First Commerce in 1999, Jocelyn was Senior Vice President of Bank of Los Angeles, where she was the administrator in charge of business development and all bank branches. She joined Bank of Los Angeles in 1995 as a branch manager. Previously, she worked for World Trade Bank in branch administration and business development until the bank merged with Bank of Los Angeles in 1995.

John Nixon

John Nixon manages Grandpoint's banking operations in Orange County and the South Bay. Prior to joining Grandpoint, he was Senior Vice President of Preferred Bank, where he worked from 1994 to 2010. In that capacity, Nixon managed a team of Business Development Officers and underwriting staff whose efforts were focused in corporate finance, real estate development and professional services. Additionally, he was involved with credit administration, strategic planning, human resources and special assets.
Previously, John was with Marathon Bank in Los Angeles. He worked in various capacities at Marathon, including business development, commercial lending, real estate lending and credit administration. Prior to that, John was employed by regional banks located in the Southwest.
John earned a bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Oklahoma.

Regents Bank, a division of Grandpoint Bank
Stephen Friedman serves as Regional President of the San Diego Region. Stephen is a 20-year banker and joined Regents Bank in 2009. He is responsible for developing and managing commercial loan and depository relationships throughout the San Diego region.
Stephen came to Regents Bank from CommerceWest Bank after its acquisition of Discovery Bank. He began his banking career in 1987 at Bank of Boston (now Bank of America), rising to Vice President of Corporate Banking. In 1993, he joined the Bruegger’s Corporation, a bagel bakery franchiser, as Chief Financial Officer. From 1997 to 1998, Stephen was Chief Financial Officer of Westwind Group, a large Burger King franchise. He also was President/Owner of Jody’s Baking Co., a commercial bakery located in San Diego from 1999 through 2004.
Stephen’s experience inside and outside of banking, has provided him with a level of business understanding over and above what is normally found in banking. Stephen maintains an extensive network of professionals, who then become his clients’ network for advice and expertise on most business issues. His clients view Stephen as more than just a source to meet their immediate banking needs -- they see him as a strategic partner they rely upon to help achieve their goals and objectives.
Half of his practice consists of operating businesses, including manufacturers, distributors, contractors, professional service firms and contractors. The remainder of his practice revolves around commercial real estate financing, including construction, bridge, mini-perm and SBA 504 loans of most property types.
A resident of Carmel Valley, Stephen has been an active member of Provisors, the Association for Corporate Growth of San Diego, the Business Executives Council, the Rancho Bernardo Professional Group and Renaissance Executive Forums. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont, followed by a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Boston College. He also earned a Graduate Banking Degree from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
